Rudeness is Just as Bad as a Cold

It was the best of times; it was the rudest of times.

We seem to be living in rather rude times. Turns out, rudeness is like a cold. No one likes it, and it spreads very quickly. University of Maryland professor Trevor Foulk, who studies organizational behavior, calls it a snowball effect. As he told The Washington Post: “The more you see rudeness, the more likely you are to perceive it from others and the more likely you are to be rude yourself to others.” The best way to break the cycle? Start questioning whether you’re bring rude. Most people tend not even to notice their own behavior.
