Like it or not, Fort Myers Beach is a spring break destination.
Vacation Rentals by Owner ranked the Fort Myers Beach/Cape Coral area 10th in its annual Top 10 Spring Break Destinations for Families. (Five Florida spots made this list, including Miramar Beach coming in at No. 1.)
For residents, this means a spring filled with extra traffic clogging the roads and rowdy crowds partying on the beach. But, as WINK News explored, spring break fun is in the eye of the beholder.
