Dining out has big benefits in the off-season.

Head to Angelina's for its annual half-priced wine special.

As Southwest Florida heats up, keep your wallet cool with these promotions meant to lure locals through the door. Inevitably some restaurants mentioned will be going on a summer hiatus—always call in advance at this time of year (until at least October) to guarantee an eatery is open when you want to visit.

21 Spices (Naples): daily 5-7 p.m. three-course prix-fixe.

Agave (Naples): “Ritas in the Rain” promo—whenever it is raining and the restaurant is open—silver and gold margaritas are half off.

Angelina’s Ristorante (Bonita Springs): daily (except Mondays when the restaurant is closed) half price wine bottles under $175

Barbatella (Naples): Mondays: BOGO pizzas; Wednesdays: half off bottles of wine under $100; daily three-course prixfixe dinner menu for $28.50.

Bleu Rendez-Vous French Bistro (Sanibel):daily four-course menu for $49; daily 5-5:45 p.m. twilight two-course “Petit Plates” menu for $22.

The Continental (Naples): Thursdays: half off bottles of wine under $100 and 25 percent off $100-250 bottles; Sundays: $55 two-course dinner menu for two; daily “pick two for $14” lunch menu.

D’Amico & Sons (Naples): Tuesdays: half off all wine bottles; Sundays: $40 two-course dinner menu for two; Sundays: kids under 12 eat free all day with adult entrée purchase; daily except Sundays: “pick two for $13” lunch menu.

DeRomo’s: Get $5 off with purchase of two lunch entrees and get a free bottle of house wine with purchase of two dinner entrees.  

The Dock and Riverwalk (both in Naples): Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: “Lotsa Lobster” promo for $27.95 that includes two 1-pound lobsters and sides.

The French (Naples): Mondays: “Passport Promotion” with special comps throughout the summer

HB’s on the Gulf (Naples): through September 30: complimentary bottle of Sterling Vintner’s Collection Wine with purchase of two “large” plates at dinner and complimentary glass of wine with purchase of one “large” plate at lunch.

Kareem’s Lebanese Kitchen (Naples): Mondays: limitless hummus with entrée purchase; Fridays: all-you-can-eat falafel for $10.99; daily happy hour starting June 1 with BOGO deal on all appetizers, beer and select wines.

Norman Love Confections (all locations): Through Aug. 31, BOGO deals on gelato and from 8-10 a.m., get a free cup of coffee with the purchase of a bakery item.    

Osteria Tulia (Naples): Mondays: “Passport Promotion” with special comps throughout the summer; Wednesdays: three-serving “pasta flight” of select dishes.

Ridgway Bar & Grill (Naples): daily extended happy hour with half priced drinks; two daily two-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $29 and $42.

Sails Restaurant (Naples): daily $39 three-course prix-fixe 4:30-5:30 p.m. (available all night on Thursdays); Sundays: $39 three-course pasta flight; Mondays: $69 wagyu two-course prix-fixe; Tuesdays: opera night with live entertainment; Wednesdays: wine flight night. 

Sea Salt (Naples): Mondays: half off bottles of wine under $100; Sundays: $2 oysters and $5 bloody marys; daily extended happy hour with half priced drinks; daily three-course prixfixe dinner menu for $38.

Shima Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar (Sanibel): Tuesdays: BOGO dinner entrée (all entrees include soup, salad, vegetables and choice of steamed or fried rice).

Shula’s (Naples): daily summer happy hour with new bar bites and $5 cocktails and glasses of wine.

Tarpon Bay Restaurant (Bonita Springs): daily $90 summer prix-fixe menu for two that includes an amuse, three courses and a bottle of wine.
