Walk on the Wild Side, Naples 

You won’t want to miss bringing the kids out to see BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise, running through April 4 at the Naples Zoo. The traveling exhibition features life-sized creatures made of colorful bricks, like a 10-foot-long alligator and a 4-foot-tall lion. 

 

Find Your New Favorite Florida Artist, Fort Myers  

Artists across the state showcase their work during the Alliance for the Arts’ 35th Annual All Florida Exhibition. The juried mix of paintings, sculptures and photography is on display from March 5-27. 

 

Get Crafty with the Rotary Club, Naples 

Expand your beer palate at the Naples North Rotary Club’s Craft Beer Fest on March 6 at Bayfront of Naples. Sample craft brews from around the country while local restaurants compete for best food pairing. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

 

Say ‘I Do’ To the Vendors, Estero 

Save the date for Bridal Blast 2021 at Hertz Arena on March 7, where you can meet with more than 100 local wedding vendors, from photographers to officiants to venues to catering. Entry is free for brides. 

 

Go to an Opera Festival, Naples

Opera Naples hosts its first Festival Under the Stars at Baker Park on March 10-13. See performances from resident artists, along with guest appearances from renowned opera stars, including a solo performance from Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja. 

 

Cruise for the Irish, Naples 

Join in on this St. Patrick’s Day’s socially distant celebration, Shamrocking on the Water, with a parade of decked-out boats cruising from Naples Bay to Keewaydin Island on March 13, starting at 11 a.m. Bring your own vessel, or board the Naples Princess, which takes a shorter route and includes hors d’oeuvres, beer from Riptide Brewery, a silent auction and live music from former The Voice contestant country singer Sheena Brook.

 

Ride a Roller Coaster, Naples 

Bring the family out for fun animal shows, soaring coasters, crispy fried Oreos and gooey funnel cakes at the 45th annual Collier Fair, which runs March 18-28. Masks and social distancing are recommended. 

 

Take an Art-Filled Stroll, Naples 

Shop from fine arts and crafts from vendors set up along Fifth Avenue South during the two-day 33rd Annual Naples Downtown Art Show on March 20 and 21. 

 

Tune in for a Chef Showdown, virtual

On March 22, Aielli Group’s corporate executive chef Jason Goddard goes head-to-head with La Trattoria Cafe Napoli’s chef-owner Gloria M. Jordan-Cabral in the Culinary & Hospitality Education Foundation (CHEF) of Southwest Florida’s 2021 Culinary Chef Showdown fundraiser to support Collier and Lee culinary students. 

 

Celebrate Local Female Art Talent 

Lauren Amalia Redding, of H&R Studio, curates works of three female artists she admires in Southwest Florida, along with her own figurative drawings, in this pop-up art show titled Indigitamenta. From March 27 through April 3, guests are invited to visit the studio, where Redding will be on hand to speak on the works. Stop by anytime during the week or schedule a personal, COVID-safe visit.
