We may live oceanside, but in Florida, we appreciate water in all its forms—especially when it’s a chic pool right outside our doors. This contemporary, resort-style splash pad, set on 2.5 acres in Livingston Woods, was created by the husband-wife duo behind Cintron Custom Builders as a home for their own family. When they listed it online as a model, though, the property sold overnight. And it’s no wonder: The home revolves around its 1,100-square-foot pool, surrounded by permeable pavers and contrasted by strips of turf that provide visual wow-factor, as well as a sustainable flooring solution.

Subtle, yet impactful, water and light features add to the aesthetic outside and in, as they’re reflected in the 20-foot glass window in the living room (and others flanking the back of the home). “It’s magical at night with the lights coming up out of the fountains,” says Flower Cintron, who runs the company with her husband, Jose.

As for the pool itself—well, it’s the centerpiece. Designed with sunken seating, a fire pit and swim-up bar with stools in the water, it’s an ideal space for unwinding and entertaining. Though the entire waterscape is connected, design features throughout create distinct areas, like a lounge nook with a slinky pool chair, waterfall and a raised spa. “We were going for luxury and contemporary, but functional—not stiff like a model home,” Flower says.

The entertaining-perfect space has an outdoor kitchen and swim-up bar. LED lighting throughout (including below the sunken shelf’s seating and steps) creates a magical setting day and night.
