Our sunny skies and breezy fall and winter days go hand-in-hand with a robust tennis culture. For the racket lovers among us, the Naples Grande Beach Resort offers a premier program for players of all ages and skill levels, with personnel from Peter Burwash International, known for first-class tennis professionals and expert instruction. Visitors can participate in an array of activities, from basic court time to scheduled round robins, clinics and private lessons.

Elsewhere in the area, high-end tennis facilities are available in Collier County at Eagle Creek Golf & Country Club, on the southern edge of Naples, which is open to members and guests of members; Sánchez-Casal Academy, run by Grand Slam doubles winner Emilio Sánchez Vicario, at the Naples Bath and Tennis Club, which offers weekly and weekend programs, as well as youth-oriented summer camps; and membership-based Naples Lakes Country Club, which offers onsite pros and tennis programs.

In Lee County, the reel of highlights is led by the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, a private club that hosts many league teams and tournaments, and the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island, which is open to the public and offers rentals and lessons, in addition to hosting tournaments.

In 2022, look out for Bonita Bay Club’s third-annual FineMark Women’s Pro Tennis Championship—the only $100,000 Women’s U.S. Tennis Association (WTA) Pro Circuit Tournament in Florida—with rising stars also vying for WTA points and the winner in the running for a wild-card entry to the French Open.
