This Labor Day weekend, celebrate local beer culture as breweries across Lee County host food trucks, live music and games for the second-annual SWFL Craft Beer Week (full event schedule).

The festivities—organized by the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce—kick off with a private pre-party on Aug. 31. You can buy tickets to join the dinner, which includes pairings from Fort Myers Brewing Company, Palm City Brewing Company and Point Ybel Brewing Company. There’s also a ticketed VIP event on Thursday at HeadPinz in Fort Myers, where beer lovers congregate over rounds of bowling and pours of the local brews.

Jen Whyte, co-owner of Fort Myers Brewing Company and co-chair of SWFL Craft Beer Week, says the event started last year to support the hospitality industry, which was hit hard during the pandemic. From Sept. 1 through 5, you can hop between nine breweries—including Crazy Dingo’s farm brewery, pet-friendly Millennial Brewing, and the experimental Point Ybel Brewing. At every spot, expect a range of spirited behind-the-scenes tours, stellar local food and live tunes. “The beer and the quality of the beer are very important, but the experience and having a little something for everyone is also important,” Jen says.

Get VIP tickets to score deals throughout the venues, including 10% off your tab at Eight-Foot Brewing in Cape Coral and a free beer at Coastal Dayz in Fort Myers.
