Marketing & Events Manager

Gulfshore Life seeks a motivated, creative, and experienced candidate for an immediate opening in the position of Marketing & Events Manager, Naples FL office The ideal candidate is organized, independent, a team player, and knowledgeable about Southwest Florida. This candidate must have experience effectively communicating with the media, event sponsors, vendors, staff, and agencies, as well as managing contract production teams, and event staff. Experience in print and digital marketing is required.

Qualifications:

· Two years of successful experience in marketing and event production management roles across industries: Nonprofits, high end signature events, food & beverage, design-related events, trade shows, etc.

· Supervisory experience

· Experienced in managing budgets and setting and achieving revenue goals

· Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently

· Must possess excellent writing skills and the ability to work with editors and other team members to express relevant brand style and voice · Experience writing and promoting press releases and working with media outlets

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment

· Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required

· Strong understanding of current marketing/advertising trends—digital, social, print, etc.—and experience developing marketing promotion across multiple media platforms

· Familiarity with GeoTix, Second Street and AdCellerant a plus

· Excellent project management skills

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information

Essential Duties:

Event Management:

o Develop, plan, and oversee marketing, production, and management of annual signature events, media-sponsored events, and internal events

o Develop timeline for events, key milestones, and management of contract production team

o Develop social media campaign and marketing plan to support promotion of all events, working with Editorial, Sales and Digital Development on approved copy and posts o Identify and collaborate with appropriate community partners

Event Creation:

o Evolve and expand current signature events and develop potential community partnerships and client-driven events for management to review

o Execute proposed projects and work closely with art, editorial and digital department on marketing initiatives & signature events

o Develop promotional plan for all signature events – manage timeline for each.

Management

o Management of all marketing and event collateral

o Maintain event budget development and submission for events and marketing initiative

o Keep events at or below budget

 

Digital Account Executive 

The Account Executive (Digital) will play a critical role within our fast paced advertising sales team with a focus on driving digital revenue through the direct sales of our extensive digital platforms including but not limited to: website sales, SEM, Geo Fencing, Re-targeting, on line sweepstakes, social marketing,  video, mobile, display and content sponsorships as well as adoption of new and evolving digital products. The Account Executive will be responsible for growing revenue across multiple platforms through the development and sale of creative advertising solutions. Revenue closure, account relationship building, customer satisfaction and product implementation are key to a successful candidate.

  • Drive digital advertising sales, developing new digital and social revenue opportunities, penetrating new verticals and markets (from new clients and for new platforms and activations), and working with management in shaping future digital monetization opportunities
  • Build, manage, and develop relationships with clients, agencies, advertisers through day-to-day interactions; actively grow industry relationships in order to gain marketplace intelligence
  • Keep abreast of the continually evolving digital media marketplace, customers and competition in order to conceive and effectively execute a sales strategy that generates and informs product offerings and drives improved operations and financial results
  • Work with print partner reps on integrated digital, print and event proposals

Qualifications/Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, results-driven, digital salesperson with a track record of building meaningful digital revenue and an ability to envision and execute on new business opportunities. He/She will have an understanding of emerging digital and social media platforms.

This role provides a salary and a commission plan on managed accounts with opportunity for growth.
Compensation: No relocation expenses are available for this position.

Multimedia Sales Representative

The Multimedia Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating and developing existing and new business opportunities with brands, agencies, and advertisers, delivering measurable sales growth to Gulfshore Life. The Multimedia Sales Rep is responsible for the whole sales cycle: prospecting to contacting. This person should also excel at relationship building, cold calling, and can analyze rapidly changing marketing trends. In addition, this person should be familiar with selling a variety of advertising mediums including print, online, and social media. The successful candidate will actively prospect local businesses suited for our publications and readers, spend time with potential clients to learn about their business and develop a clear marketing plan. An existing book of business is a plus!

Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Create and manage all client contracts and related legal documents
  • Monitor compliance and traffic sources on active client campaigns
  • Track and record client data through Magazine Manager, relevant business metrics, pipeline opportunities, ongoing communication and service changes
  • Maintain and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify new campaign opportunities with existing clients
  • Monitor and service existing accounts through service calls and follow up
  • Research competition, competitive issues, products, and industry trends
  • Attend signature company events, client events and community events we sponsor

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in magazine (Print and Digital Advertising)
  • At least 2 year’s experience in sales
  • Comprehensive understanding of sales across various media platforms, including print, online, and social media
  • Confident and professional demeanor and high comfort level interacting with all personality types
  • Must have a presentable wardrobe and well groomed
  • Demonstrates effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Desire to learn and grow within the sales organization
