Looks We Love

The editorial and design staff from At Home selected their favorites, from the hallway to the bedroom.

The following is from the 2017 At Home magazine. Pick up a copy on newsstands.

A Den for Duos

We love this simple “drywall trick” that was used to bump out the wall by 6 inches and then paper it to give the illusion of an antique mirror. A pair of cream-colored bookcases and two high-back linen-textured chairs are accented with a brushed metal table in the center to create a his-and-hers desk.

A Bit of Bling

Light neutral background tones keep this master bathroom in the spa-aah zone. Escape to your own oasis with a soothing shoulders-deep soak in this contemporary wide-rim stand-alone tub.  Rustic ceiling beams are contrasted with a bit of bling, courtesy of the contemporary chandelier and its light-catching crystals.

A Sleek Sanctuary

We love this open plan with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring a spectacular water view. The warm, walnut finishes and crisp, white leather chairs and sofa add to the serene vibe of the room. With the modern kitchen and bar just steps away, you can enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset.

Modern Mosaic

We can’t take our eyes off of this contemporary twist on a strung-bulb chandelier that adds whimsy to this modern kitchen. The island’s granite countertop features a natural cheetah pattern in a leather finish. Notice that the mixed-metal mosaic backsplash is also accented in the contemporary kitchen hood.

Rosy Respite

Love this pink! All shades of pink are in this year. This brighter shade of rose quartz (a Pantone 2016 color of the year) is the perfect backdrop for the neutral, lighter woods that are so popular right now. By Chaddock Home, this room transcends “pretty” while offering a soft, sophisticated aesthetic.

Lap of Luxury

Taking center stage in this elegant master bath is a charcoal gray, velvet chaise. Imagine yourself wrapped in this fur throw surrounded by marble and crystals. This glamorous escape features a Crystal White marble floor set in a large herringbone pattern, and the custom floating cabinetry showcases hardware set with Swarovski crystals. Just add champagne!

Serenity

We love this dining room because it evokes a sense of calmness and clear energy. The elliptical shape of the Chaddock Home dining table is clean and blends perfectly with the two-tone sideboard. The new, brighter color of turquoise velvet dining chairs is a fresh break from the old “Spa Blue” color.

Old with the New

We couldn’t have been happier to learn that these homeowners incorporated family heirloom pieces with their favorite collectibles into the design. The gold gilt mirror from the owner’s childhood home sits above a marble 1920s art deco console featuring their collection of blue and white porcelain vases. An art deco bench was reimagined with a peacock silk fabric.
