Restless legs, snoring, tossing and turning… If your partner is keeping you up, maybe you need to spend some time apart. At night, at least. Nearly 1 in 4 couples sleep in separate bedrooms, according to the National Sleep Foundation. The concept of a “sleep divorce” is becoming more common as more research is being done regarding how to get a good night’s rest. Of course, this can be a delicate subject—you don’t want to unintentionally offend (or put a damper on your sex life). But, in a time when nearly one-third of Americans don’t get enough sleep, prioritizing a solid 7 hours of rest may be worth spending that time apart.
