Look Younger With Face Exercise

It feels strange, but it may actually work.

Forget botox. Face exercises may be the way to go. It sounds outlandish, but according to a small study from researchers at Northwestern University, what’s popularly known as Happy Face Yoga actually did make people appear younger. The team had a small group of women try the YouTube video series—which has participants go through a series of facial contortions—for a half-hour per day for five months. The results: fuller cheeks, which gives the appearance of youth. Basically, it’s firming and toning your facial muscles, just like any exercise. The study was just a small sample, but researchers say it’s enough evidence to explore further.
