Email has made it so much easier—for us to get wildly distracted. For all the benefits of today’s technology, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. More so, it can tire out your brain. So set some limits. The Mayo Clinic recommends checking and responding to email only during certain times during the day. Give yourself a time limit, and log off when time’s up. Set an alarm clock for 90 minutes at most—that’s about as long as the human brain can sustain focus.
