Last-Minute Thanksgiving Shopping

Where to get hostess gifts, pies, random essentials and, yes, a bird in the final hours

BY November 20, 2018

If the slow creep toward the holidays felt more like a Dennis the Menace storm this year, chances are you might be in the market for something down to the wire for Turkey Day—maybe a pinch of tarragon, a greeting card, a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates (or even a fully cooked turkey). Here’s a list of our bigger grocers and specialty grocers with their hours on Wednesday and Thursday, noting both those who are working in overdrive to help time-strapped shoppers and those who will remain closed to give back to their workers with a full day of thanks and R&R.

Note: All stores listed will resume their normal hours on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018
