Sea Salt Celebrates 10 Years with Its Greatest Hits

The restaurant’s arrival changed the face of Naples; now, a milestone is being met with 10 days of throwback favorites and a philanthropic marathon.

BY November 6, 2018

For those of us who moved here after Sea Salt opened its doors in 2008, it’s hard to imagine what Third Street South previously looked like. The spaces for both the restaurant and its younger sister a few doors down, Barbatella, were shops—and you could argue the path that owners Fabrizio and Ingrid Aielli carved helped to transform the entire neighborhood into the premier dining destination it is today.

Their presence didn’t stop there. As they settled into the Naples community, their generosity rippled to the farthest reaches of Collier County. They’ve donated food and formed partnerships with charities; they’ve contributed an endless stream of prizes from their now three local eateries to various philanthropic auctions and events; and they’ve created their own fundraisers (including a slew post-Irma; the Training Kids Foundation, which gives out scholarships to Naples High students in need; and an annual Christmas Eve luncheon for Youth Haven children where every single one of the shelter’s at-risk young ones is treated to a festive meal and brand-new, age-appropriate presents).

So to ring in their flagship Sea Salt’s 10th anniversary, rather than host a party, they came up with another way to celebrate that’s quintessentially “them”—by giving back to their fan base and that of greater Naples as a whole. For 10 days starting on Nov. 6, the chefs will be whipping up favorites from over the years in a special throwback menu, and each day 15 percent of all lunch and dinner proceeds will be donated to a different local charity.

On each of the 10 days of giving, the restaurant will donate 15 percent of the proceeds to…
Nov. 6 – Friends of Foster Children Forever / Youth Haven
Nov. 7 – The Shelter for Abused Women Children
Nov. 8 – Everglades Foundation
Nov. 9 – Guadalupe Center
Nov. 10 – David Lawrence Center
Nov. 11 – PAWS Assistance Dogs Naples
Nov. 12 – Champions For Learning
Nov. 13 – Women’s Foundation of Collier County
Nov. 14 – United Arts Council of Collier County
Nov. 15 – Humane Society Naples
