The name alone evokes salty and swampy explorations, mysterious personalities, days spent cattle driving under the blazing sun, muggy starry nights spent on a creaky wooden porch: Stories of the Paradise Coast. For the inaugural storytelling festival Nov. 17-18, the Collier Museum at Government Center will present speakers paired up to tackle a particular facet of Collier County history, along with complementary exhibits, item displays, crafts and kids’ activities, food and other surprises. Tales will be told by artist Paul Arsenault, manatee guide Tim Marcell, Marco Island developer Jack Joyce, Seminole Tribe of Florida member Tina Osceola and more longtime locals. colliermuseums.com
