Shell Point presents “Vietnam: Its History and Culture” on June 11

The Academy of Lifelong Learning at Shell Point Retirement Community invites the public to attend its June Academy class, entitled “Vietnam: Its History and Culture,” which will feature an informative discussion on Vietnamese history. The class will be held at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, June 11 at Shell Point in Fort Myers.

Presented by Florida SouthWestern State College Professor Adrian Kerr, “Vietnam: Its History and Culture” is a three-part series that will trace the origins of the Vietnamese people and their heritage. The second session on June 11, “The French War, American War, and Present-day Vietnam,” will utilize a sequence of photographs to depict how the Viet heritage has produced a vibrant, colorful and unique religion.
