Southwest Florida residents are invited to attend the annual Community Prayer Breakfast in observance of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2 at City of Palms Park, 2201 Edison Ave. in Fort Myers. The national theme for the 2019 National Day of Prayer is “Love One Another.” The breakfast buffet begins at 6:05 a.m. and will be followed by the program at 7 a.m., emceed by City of Fort Myers Mayor Randy Henderson. This year’s keynote speaker, Michael Hingson, will inspire attendees with his story of surviving the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center with the help of his guide dog, Roselle.
