NAMIWalks Southwest Florida is part of the largest grassroots fundraising and education effort for mental illness in the United States. Over 1000 people will gather in Southwest Florida to raise awareness for mental health issues and help to erase the stigma surrounding mental illness. Proceeds from the event support NAMI LCH’s mission “to improve the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy.” Our organization provides crucial county-wide educational programs and support services for people with mental illness and their loved ones, as well as advocating for statewide legislation for individuals with mental illness.
