Amavida, Quadrum Global’s luxury, resort-style independent living, assisted living and memory care community, has launched an afternoon High Tea event series that features a rotating schedule of guest speakers, tea and treats.   The monthly events are free and open to all residents, as well as the general public. Amavida has announced the following guest speakers and topics:  

• June 11: The News Press Executive Editor Cindy McCurry-Ross, “Freedom of speech and how social media is influencing politics”
• July 9: Cornerstone Coastal Properties Broker Jenny Moorhead, “The first steps to list and sell your home”
• August 13: Tranquil Transitions’ Donna Whitehead, “The importance of downsizing”
• September 10: Jones & Co. Realty’s Allie Williamson, “The right time to sell”

  The events take place from 2 to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Amavida Oasis Clubhouse. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the community following each presentation. Guests enjoyed a variety of freshly steeped gourmet teas, tea sandwiches, breads, fruit tartlets, pastries and freshly baked scones with fruit and Devonshire cream.   Amavida is conveniently located at 7650 Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers, between Summerlin Road and U.S. 41.
