Description

The Edison and Ford Winter Estates all new "Beauty from Disaster: Woodwork from Trees felled by Hurricane Irma" exhibit will open to the public in the historic Caretakers Cottage. Following the devastation from Hurricane Irma, we sold slabs of wood to help finance a small part of the recovery from the storm. Artists and craftspeople from all across Florida made amazing creations from fallen trees and their creations will be on display through June 6, 2021. This 3rd Annual Edison Ford Art Show embodies Thomas Edison and Henry Ford's "can do" attitude and refusal to give up. The arrival of the most powerful Atlantic hurricane on record can even lead to beautiful and useful pieces of art. The exhibit is free for Edison Ford members and included with admission for non-members.
