Best Buddies in Southwest Florida is proud to have nearly 300 (and counting) registered walkers who will be lacing up their shoes to #walkforchange, all working to surpass 2022’s fundraising goal of $80,000. The organization is excited to announce its annual Friendship Walk on April 30 at Miromar Outlets in Estero, FL, which will support local area programs that provide one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living. These programs can be found in all 50 states and will create promising opportunities for more than 350,000 people this year. Registration opens at 7:30am with Opening Ceremonies at 8:30am. The Walk commences at 9:00am at Miromar Outlets near the WINK Playland. Following the Walk, Best Buddies will provide for a day of fun, food and friendship until noon. Local celebrities expected to attend this year include: Estero Mayor Katy Errington as Grand Marshall, Corey Lazar from WINK News as emcee, and Morgan “Moose” Wright from NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior.” To register for the Walk, visit www.bestbuddiesfriendshipwalk.org/southwestflorida.
