This concert will feature Dan’s “Dream Quartet” playing music by, and in the style of, of Jazz guitar greats such as Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Joe Pass, Pat Martino, Herb Ellis, Grant Green and Pat Metheny. Guitarist Dan Heck is an internationally recognized jazz guitarist that has performed all over the world. His last recording “Compositionality”(Origin Arts 2009) reached the top 50 on the US jazz charts and was highly acclaimed. From Seattle to NYC to Europe to SW Florida, Dan’s jazz guitar playing is in the modern/straight ahead/bebop style and he is considered among the best in the genre. Currently a professor of Jazz Guitar at FSW University and the head of the Music Department at Community School of Naples, he performs regularly in SW Florida when not spending time with his wife, well known vocalist Rebecca Richardson, and their daughter, Stella. For this concert Dan is joined by his long time musical counterparts, and world class musicians, Michael Ross and James Martin. He has also added a newer counterpart, renowned pianist Liston Gregory III. These fine musicians have performed all over the world and have extensive experience playing with many of the world’s finest.
