Mercury: A Story & Celebration of Freddie Mercury's Life & Music

Date/Time

February 21, 2019 to February 21, 2019

Description

The music is Queen however Mercury is a story about Freddie's life. It's intimate, personal and operatic. Freddie's dream album was Barcelona. He loved opera and always wanted to perform with Montserrat Caballe.

We're here to tell a story, about fame, decadence, triumph and tragedy. About a man who had it all and could never have enough! It's a story about music that made the world shake, stomp, chant, and cheer. It's a story about a man who helped a generation learn to rock!

By the mid-80's Freddie was facing his diagnosis as HIV-positive. Though he publicly denied rumors about his condition, his band mates knew long before the rest of the world. It was Freddie's determination to record and perform through his failing health that inspired guitarist Brian May to write this.

Mercury stars international opera star Terry Barber, a former member of the two-time Grammy Award winning group Chanticleer. His most recent album, was nominated for six Grammy Awards and he's considered the world's best countertenor with a 4 octave range {like Freddie} and has performed for the Metropolitan Opera, Moscow's Svetlanov Hall, and at Carnegie Hall.
