Naples Community Orchestra (NCO) will hold its inaugural Partnership Celebration event on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Artis Naples’ Signature Event Room, 5833 Pelican Bay Blvd., Naples. The fundraiser and live auction will commemorate NCO’s community partnerships with Artis—Naples, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and Collier County Public Schools and raise money to help underwrite the orchestra’s free student admission program and student scholarships. The charity event features music performances by Max Rabinovitsj and the NCO String Quartet, wine, cocktails and elegant hor d’oeuvres prepared by Crave Culinaire. The live “fund a need” auction will feature items such as a set of timpani. A limited number of tickets are available for $125 per person and can be purchased online before January 9 at naplescommunityorchestra.org. For more information, contact Sue Bookbinder, event chair, at sbookbi@aol.com. “We want to expose students to live orchestral performance by offering free concert admission to all K-12 students in Lee and Collier counties as well as FGCU students,” said Anne Wilson, NCO president. “We encourage Collier County students to participate in the orchestra and our celebration event will bring attention to the additional sponsorship opportunities that exist to underwrite two concert soloists and two concerts.” NCO’s 2021-22 season series is inspired by the community partnerships the orchestra has forged with Artis Naples, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and Collier County Public Schools (CCPS). NCO’s partnership with Artis Naples provides musicians for conducting and performing in the orchestra, sectional rehearsals, soloists, and rehearsal and event space. All NCO concerts will be held at Moorings Presbyterian Church, located at 791 Harbour Drive in Naples. Four concerts will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays and an additional pops concert will be at 7 p.m. on Friday April 29. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at naplescommunityorchestra.org. Individual concert tickets are $30 per ticket and the four concert series subscription is $100. Complimentary tickets are available for students with valid student identification. Tickets will be sent to your email address.
