The Music Foundation of Southwest Florida's 2020 Summer Arts Camps will be held virtually on June 22 through June 26.  In its 29th year, the summer camps have moved online in order to continue the annual tradition of offering programs that provide a variety of high quality artistic and educational experiences that enrich and transform the lives of young people, while respecting current social distancing requirements due to COVID-19. This year four virtual camps will be offered in music, theatre, and digital arts. While most classes are designed for middle school students, some are open to students as young as 4^th grade and others include high school students. The fee for each camp is $70 per week. Additional online private lesson camps are $120 for four weeks. Scholarships are available. The following camps will be held: Camp 1--Arts & Crafts Adventure, Camp 2--Summer Tabletop Improvisation & Gaming, Camp 3--Virtual Guitar Camp, and Camp 4--Virtual Musical Theatre Camp. Each camp includes at least 2 to 3 hours of content a day through a combination of webinars, Zoom meetings, and self-learning through Google Classroom and Zoom platforms. Class schedules will be determined by each instructor. New this year, online private lessons will be offered by professional musicians. These are one 30 minutes online lesson per week starting June 22 and continuing for four weeks.  Lessons will be conducted via Zoom meetings and information available through Google Classroom. All Virtual Summer Arts Camps students must have access to a computer or digital device and they must provide their own instruments for all band and string camps.
