An exhibition of Soviet-era paintings from the Collection of Jurii Maniichuk and Rose Brady will be presented for the first time at Gallery on Fifth in Mercato, Naples. These Socialist Realist Paintings, created by leading Soviet artists based in Ukraine between 1950 and the mid-1980s, have never been seen by the public since they were exhibited in the Soviet Union during the Communist era.  The works were acquired directly from the artists or their heirs by Ukrainian-American lawyer and collector Jurii Maniichuk in the 1990s while he worked in Kyiv, Ukraine. At that time, Socialist Realist paintings were largely discredited and in danger of being destroyed.
