Agave Southwestern Grill and Tequila Bar is hosting a four-course tequila dinner featuring Tequila Avión Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m.
Executive Chef Greg Scarlatos has designed a four-course menu to showcase the authentic flavors of America’s Southwest: ancho-smoked scallops with mango-bacon emulsion, spiced avocado flan and sweet garlic oil, paired with Avión Blanco; blackened pork belly with crispy boniatos, tossed citrus and herbs and sapote coulis, paired with Avión Reposado; roasted duck and mushroom duet with grilled asparagus and vanilla-peppercorn reduction, paired with Avión Añejo; and finished with Southwestern cannolis, paired with Scorpion Mezcal 5 Ano.
Tequila Avión’s proprietary Ultra Slow Filtration process filters the beverage into the smoothest Silver, Reposado and Añejo varietals in the world. The 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition honored Avión with Best Tequila, Best Unaged White Spirit and Double Gold, for the second consecutive year.
The tequila dinner is priced at $80 per couple (plus tax and gratuity). Space is limited and reservations must be made in advance at 239-598-3473.
