Home of the Month: Starting Over in Bay Colony

An extensive remodel turned this Bay Colony home into a sleek, contemporary retreat.

Doug Thompson

The leisure room is the gathering room of the home and also benefits fromthe three-sided fireplace. The bright colored wool-and-silk area rug sets the tone for the room, and a solid wood curled cocktail table breaks up the space and compliments the custom entertainment wall with floating shelves and a stremlined, wall-mounted television. Contemporary chrome finishes were brought in with furniture pieces, hardwar and ceiling fans, while striped sheers fram the room and keep it open to the lake view.
