Summer Nights at Edison Ford

Date/Time

September 18, 2020 to September 18, 2020
06:00 PM untill 09:00 PM

Description

Join us for "Summer Nights" at Edison Ford! Visitors will be treated to live music by Teddy Richards on the Ford lawn and have a chance to see a spectacular sunset over the Caloosahatchee River. Guests will also be able to walk onto the porches of the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford and stroll through the botanical gardens. After serving 28 years as Aretha Franklin's guitarist, Teddy Richards has emerged as a gifted singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer. He's been hailed by the press as brilliant cross-section between Seal and Lenny Kravitz, with the voice of an angel. His "Sunset Serenade" is an eclectic genre-defying experience, filled with crowd favorites and memories spanning the spectrum of popular music.
Discounted admission for the nighttime openings will be $20 for non-members and $15 for members. Coastal Dayz Brewery will have beer for purchase and The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen will have a food truck on site. Guests can preorder their food using their online ordering site at https://iwantgrilledcheese.square.site and it will be hot and ready for them at whatever time they want to pick it up! Guests may bring a lawn chair or blanket to relax and watch the sunset. Tickets will be available online at EdisonFord.org or at the Ticket Office up until 8:30 p.m. on the evening of the event. The museum and research laboratory will not be open.
*Masks are required when within 6′ of someone not in your party.
