The Gulf Shore Association of Condominiums (GSAC) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the first in a series of four community forums, designed to inform and educate Naples residents about key issues affecting their quality of life. The first forum will be “Balancing Growth and Quality of Life in Naples” on Thursday, November 7^th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at St. John’s Episcopal Church (500 Park Shore Drive, Naples). Attendees will learn about how the community is growing and evolving through the perspectives of both Naples’ City Manager, Charles Chapman and Collier County Deputy County Manager, Nick Casalanguida. “Our intention with the forums is to empower residents with the knowledge to get engaged and contribute to meaningful solutions in the community that we love,” said Jim Melican, president of GSAC. Charles Chapman will share insights about the City of Naples’ 2020 Visioning process as well as how the city government is working to protect the quality of life for its residents. Chapman was named Naples City Manager in December of 2018. He holds a Master of Science degree from Florida State University and is a member of Leadership Florida, Class 33. In his career, Chapman enjoys being able to make a difference in people’s daily lives and being able to give back to the community. Nick Casalanguida will discuss growth and quality of life from a broader perspective, sharing Collier County’s vision of growth in the community. He joined the staff of the Collier County Board of County Commissioners in 2004, taking on progressively more challenging roles, eventually being named Deputy County Manager in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Hodges University and is a Certified Public Manager, through Florida State University’s Center for Public Management.
