Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families in crisis and preventing the need for foster care, is hosting a Mother’s Day-focused Better Luncheon for parents in Southwest Florida from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 at Riverside Church, located at 8660 Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers. Better Together organizes luncheon programs at various locations to bring parents and guardians together for community, to support each other, and often hear from expert speakers, while their children play supervised in another room. The luncheon will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to lunch, games and fun for children to enjoy while parents attend the event. Ahead of Mother’s Day weekend, the luncheon will celebrate with cake courtesy of LadyCakes Bakery, a prize drawing and a free gift for all attending adults. Luncheon attendees will hear from guest speaker Cheryl Willett of Rotary Club of Bonita Beach Sunset and North Naples Sunset, who will talk about financial literacy and budgeting.
