The first of several Chef Takeover events at The French Brasserie Rustique happens Thursday, January 23 at 6:30 p.m. when Vincenzo Betulia, Executive Chef and Partner of The French restaurant hosts New York City’s well-known Chef Brian Christopher Loiacono. How two Italian chefs with a passion for French cuisine agreed to this exclusive Naples takeover, will be revealed during a six-course meal with wine pairings presented by Marcello Palazzi from The Winebow Group.   Reservations are required for the $150 per person dinner at The French Brasserie Rustique, 365 5th Avenue S. in downtown Naples.   Guest chef Brian Christopher Loiacono is founder of the new Brian Christopher, a full-service, off-premise caterer serving New York’s cultural institutions, private estates and corporate events.  Chef Loiacono is a Daniel Boulud alum and his culinary background includes executive chef positions at Montauk’s Ruschmeyer’s Hotel and Restaurant, the Michelin-starred Restaurant Daniel and Bar Boulud, db Bistro Moderne and Bistrot Leo at the Sixty SoHo Hotel.   “Brian’s passion and expertise has earned him a strong following in New York and among our winter residents in Naples. We are delighted to share our kitchen with Chef Loiacono for this very special dining event at The French,” said Chef Vincenzo Betulia.   Hosting celebrity dinners is Chef Betulia’s specialty. He was the first chef in Naples to host a Friends of James Beard Benefit dinner and was invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City in 2017. Formerly at Campiello, he opened his namesake restaurant, Osteria Tulia in January 2013, and later Bar Tulia, an Italian gastropub and craft cocktail bar, where bartender takeovers happen regularly. A culinary trendsetter and major force in the Naples dining scene, Chef Vincenzo has opened his third restaurant, The French, a French rustic brasserie, in the fall of 2016.   Reservations are required.
