12:00 PM untill 01:00 PM

Description

Join us for lunch at the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Thursday, November 21 from 12 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., and learn about Florida Panthers with Ashlee O'Connor, Panther Outreach Specialist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The Florida Panther is an iconic creature roaming the wild and rural lands of south Florida. It is loved, feared and often misunderstood. Learn about the panther's history, habits, biological information, their former range, and how to keep safe on the roads where most panthers are killed, as well as what you can do to help. Bring a lunch or purchase food and drinks from the Gallery Cafe. The ongoing Lunch & Learn lecture series is offered at no charge beyond the regular boardwalk admission fee. Time is allowed for questions or discussion. Meet us in the Visitor Center classroom at 12 p.m. If you have time afterwards, go for a stroll through the Sanctuary, or come back the next day (your pass is good for 2 consecutive days). No registration required.
