Join the Marco Island Historical Museum and Society on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM for our new exhibit opening of Tommie Barfield: "The Queen of Marco and the Creation of Collier County". The exhibit explores the role played by beloved resident Tommie Barfield in creating Collier County. Come learn the pivotal role she played in assisting Barron G. Collier in creating our county a hundred years ago. This exhibit is a part of the Centennial Celebration of Collier County. Reception to be held in the Marco Island Historical Museum, followed by an after-hours viewing of the exhibit in the Sandlin Gallery. Refreshments will be served.
