After returning home from deployment, many Veterans deal with the difficult transition to civilian life in one way or another. Experiencing a traumatic event and/or being seriously injured can make transition even more challenging and can lead Veterans to suffer from PTSD as a result of war. Millions of Americans carry the burden of war as spouses, parents, children, and friends. For these individuals, coping with their loved ones’ absence, mourning their deaths, or greeting the changed person who often returns can be extremely difficult. Our Veterans and their families shouldn’t have to deal with the effects of war in their daily lives, and The Patriot Fund strives to be the much needed foundation for our troops and their families to help smooth over the transition into normal life once again. At The Patriot Fund, we serve our nation by honoring military Veterans and their families. We do this by hosting fundraising events designed to inspire and educate the community about the needs of our local Veterans. The Patriot Fund does the work to find reputable charities that passionately deliver immediate and long-lasting impact for our Veteran community. It is with your participation and donation that we make this possible! This is the 3rd Annual event in SWFL, benefiting our operational partners here in Florida such as Homebase SWFL, POVAT (Project One Vet at a Time), Southeastern Guide Dogs, Quantum Leap Farm, Defender Mobility, Heaven on Earth for Veterans, to name a few. The Patriot Fund supports over 26 Veteran owned and operated organizations who assist our military Veterans in overcoming challenges most of us cannot even imagine. Our annual event is 2 days, with Dinner and Program at The RItz-Carlton Beach Resort on November 10, and Golf Outing at TIburon Golf Club on Veterans Day, November 11. Guests can attend the Dinner, Golf and Dinner, or just Golf. Sponsorships are also available. We also honor an annual Patriot of the Year, candidates in SWFL are eligible to be considered if they have shown exemplary community service, especially in the area of supporting military Veterans.
