How to Devise Your Workout Routine

Ask yourself these six questions.

Keeping a steady workout routine is tricky enough. Don’t psych yourself out at the beginning.

The Mayo Clinic offers some guidance on how to develop your own workouts. It’s worth asking yourself these questions to help narrow your focus, especially if you’re a newcomer to regular exercise.

-What is your current fitness level?

-What are your health issues?

-What are your goals? (Lose weight, build strength, etc.)

-What exercises do you enjoy?

-How can you add variety? (It’s best if you can vary your workout.)

-What can you afford? (Gym membership, or maybe just a new pair of running shoes)
