Feel Good: For Lower Blood Pressure, Eat More Cheese

A recent review of nine previous trials found that using probiotic products with live bacteria resulted in reducing systolic blood pressure modestly. The analysis, published in Hypertension, the scientists involved suggest that there is potential for greater effect if blood pressure is already elevated or if various or large quantities of bacteria are consumed for more than two months. This doesn't necessarily mean a trip to the drugstore: adding more cheese, yogurt or fermented soy to your diet will help.
