When it comes to art academies, there is possibly none more significant and star-studded than Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts. The Baker Museum has landed a number of its masterpieces—most previously unseen outside the school—for a titan of an exhibit that lives up to its title: Gods and Heroes. Submerge yourself in 17th to 19th century works of epic proportions: dozens upon dozens by the likes of François Boucher, Jacques-Louis David and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres in the first U.S. exhibit of its kind in more than 40 years.
