Calendar Highlight: The Butcher debuts tomorrow

Gulfshore Playhouse presents the world premiere play about a factual and bewildering event.

BY February 27, 2015

Many an event could bind two beings together for life, and that event in The Butcher is both haunting and peculiar. D.C.-based playwright Gwydion Suilebhan set out to produce “stories that help us humanize one another”—and his story of the interaction between strangers Jane, a wavering Evangelical Christian, and Massoud, an Iranian Halal butcher, leads us to do just that. Gulfshore Playhouse delivers the stimulating play, inspired by a true incident, Feb. 28 through March 22.
