Of course Steve Martin would have a production titled The Underpants. The Laboratory Theater of Florida presents the comedian’s adaptation of the 1910 German farce in celebration of his AFI Life Achievement Award, and his stamp is all over the burlesque-vibed play. You’ll see those underpants fall down, you’ll see two men make fools of themselves in pursuit of the same (married) woman, you’ll see said woman struggle with whom to end up, and, surely, you’ll laugh out loud. Showings run Fridays and Saturdays June 12-27—just leave the grandkids at home.
