How to Spend Your Earth Day

BY April 21, 2016

Earth Day is a time to show respect for the environment, and we certainly have plenty to be thankful for here in Southwest Florida.

From the beaches to the Everglades, so much of what makes this area special is its habitat. Many events are going on April 22 and this weekend to recognize Earth Day. Here are a few to check out.

April 22: Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary will be hosting a special Ancient Forest Tour through the bald cypress forest.

April 22: Earth Day BOGO at Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center

April 23: The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples celebrates its four-year anniversary and Earth Day.

April 23: Give back with Keep Lee County Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup.

April 23: A day full of activities at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, including guided hikes and free bike rentals
