Calendar Highlight: Wycliffe Gordon

Expect and evening that's "all that jazz" when Gordon performs here Friday.

BY March 20, 2017

If you like jazz trombone, you know high-energy master Wycliffe Gordon is not to be missed. He’s perhaps best-known for early performances with the great Wynton Marsalis in Marsalis’ respected septet, but Gordon has since made a name for himself apart from the world-class trumpeter. The acclaimed musician, composer, conductor and educator—who also, amazingly, can rock the piano, trumpet, tuba and, wait for it, digeridoo—will have all ages tapping their toes when he suits up for his performance at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center on March 24.
