Now is a great time to be in Fort Myers. According to a study by WalletHub, the City of Palms is the fastest-growing city in the country. That doesn’t just factor in population growth; the study looked at a host of economic data, as well, including jobs growth and regional GDP increases, spanning the last 6 years. Helping put it at No.1, Fort Myers topped the nation when it came to population growth and increase in the number of jobs.
Fort Myers has been popping up on these sorts of rankings quite frequently over the last year. U.S. News & World Report ranked it as the second fastest-growing metro area (which includes Cape Coral) in the country earlier this summer.
