The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill—overlooking the lapping waves at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club—created this drink in honor of a local legend. As long as conditions are just right when the sun goes down over the Gulf, it’s been said a bright green flash electrifies the horizon to signal the end of the day. It’s easy to master as one drink or can be bumped up to 10 or more—all you have to do is bring on the party.
The Green Flash
1.25 parts coconut rum
0.5 part banana liqueur
1.5 parts Midori melon liqueur
Sour mix, to taste
Mix rum and liqueurs.
Serve over ice.
Add sour mix to taste.
