The Luminary Hotel & Co.’s signature upscale restaurant debuted Nov. 12 in downtown Fort Myers. The Silver King Ocean Brasserie offers a menu showcasing fresh seafood through clean, simple preparations using classic techniques for a modern palate, the hotel announced.
The coastal-inspired dinner menu has about a dozen items each for both the “Beginning” and “Middle” of the meal with a separate dessert menu for a sweet ending. Appetizers include salads, East Coast oysters, stone crab, a pork ad fig terrine, marinated charred octopus and a seven-minute duck egg with caviar. Entrees include sea scallops, seared cobia, fresh angel hair pasta with Key West shrimp, Alaskan halibut, braised pork, chicken roulade, A5 Japanese beef and dry-aged prime New York strip steak.
The hotel promotes the new dining spot as the place to raise a glass. “Celebrate a special occasion or simply the fact that you’re with friends. Our signature restaurant extends a gracious invitation every night. You’ll feel comfortable with the after-work crowd, or kicking back casual in jeans. Any reason is the perfect reason to dine with us. Walk in and fit right in,” its website promises.
Centered on an open kitchen, the 60-seat restaurant features 40 additional outdoor seats and a décor that includes modern elements such as a flowing silver and copper artwork installation inspired by the restaurant’s namesake, the “Silver King” Atlantic tarpon, as well as silver accents, rich woods, marble and velvet.
Silver King, 2200 Edwards Drive, accepts reservations from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For reservations can be made online or by calling 833-918-1512
