WHAT: Mercato, in cooperation with Opera Naples, invites the public to a very special performance by the National Youth Orchestra of Uruguay on Saturday, January 19th. The orchestra, which includes over 50 members, has performed in renowned locations around the world including the Berliner Philharmonie, New World Center of Miami, Madrid´s National Auditorium, and on the Millennium Stage of Kennedy Center. In January 2019, the ensemble will perform at Mercato as part of its 2019 “Identidad” international tour offering music that has been declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. This can’t-miss performance for lovers of both music and international culture is FREE and open to the public.
