Fine Art Meets Old Florida

BY March 14, 2014

Five Painters and a Potter just might be Naples’ most fun art show. It’s not for everyone, with a decidedly Florida feel to the artwork, but it consistently delivers great pieces and a good time.

When you arrive at the show, held outdoors at potter Jim Rice’s working studio, you’ll get a feeling you’ve stepped into a reunion of Naples’ oldest families, and the more the merrier. Nosh on casual hors d’oeuvres to the tune of bluegrass group Capt. Joe and the Bottom Feeders as you peruse everything from oil paintings of paradise to handcrafted fish mugs. Joining Rice are well-known artists Paul Arsenault, Jeff Fessenden, Tara O’Neill, Phil Fisher and Natalie Guess on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
