Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is projecting a fall 2021 opening date now for its Del Mar restaurant and bar on Fifth Avenue South in downtown Naples. Before the pandemic setback, the Ohio-based restaurant group had planned to launch the new upscale concept for coastal cuisine this fall in the two-story, 9,174-square-foot building that was home to Cafe Lurcat and Bar Lurcat for 15 years until they closed in May 2018. Cameron Mitchell also operates the popular Ocean Prime restaurant on Fifth Avenue, as well as at least 15 other dining concepts. Del Mar, which has a sister location in Columbus, Ohio, features dishes and cocktails inspired by Southern California.
