Kentucky Derby Celebrations in Southwest Florida

The most exciting two minutes in sports returns to its regular scheduling of the first Saturday in May. These local businesses and organizations are hosting watch parties to bring the festivities to you. Put on your fascinators, big hats, best garden dresses and seersucker suits to cheer along for the 2021 Kentucky Derby.

 

NAPLES

Naples Junior Woman’s Club hosts their annual Derby Dash from 5 to 8 p.m. at Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The event will be one of the last events hosted before the hotel closes its doors. Event features: silent auction, raffle, betting games, food & drinks, DJ and a live stream of the race. All proceeds will support the Naples Junior Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund.

Naples Therapeutic Riding Center hosts their Kentucky Derby Party from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the riding center. Event features: hors d’oeuvres, one complimentary mint julep, cash bar, raffle, race bidding, and Best Hat and Crazy Pants contests. The Hampton Social hosts their Run for the Rosés viewing party from 2 to 7 p.m. Dress in your best derby attire and enjoy $10 Rosé mint juleps and a live derby broadcast.
 
 
The Hangout by Two Guys hosts the Running of The Kentucky Derby viewing party all day. Event features: mint juleps and sliders available for purchase. Wear your best derby hat for one free julep.
 
 

FORT MYERS

Luminary Hotel & Co. hosts their Kentucky Derby Day Party from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. at their newly opened Oxbow Bar & Grill. Event Features: races air all day with the main event at 7 p.m., mint juleps and Kentucky mules available for purchase and a complimentary appetizer for anyone wearing a derby hat.
 
 
The Rotary Club of Bonita Beach Sunset hosts their Get Down & Derby with Rotary event starting at 4pm at Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce. Event features: food and beverage, games, raffles and auction items. Bring a bottle of wine or whiskey as an entry into the barrel of booze raffle. Proceeds benefit community youth services and projects for the organization.
 
 
The Stillwater Grille hosts a Kentucky Derby Party from 4 to 8 p.m. Event features: raffles, games and food and drinks available for purchase (including Woodford Reserve mint juleps), plus contests for best hat, best dressed couple and most spirited individual.
