Cleansing Essentials

Bonita Springs’ toxin-free wonderland, Cleansing Essentials, was created for people who care about the environment and yearn to be “vigilant about what they put on their bodies,” owner Ruby Campos says. Before she opened the store in 2021 in the remodeled Entrada building, off Old 41, Ruby was on a mission to find clean, natural soaps and skincare products to help keep her son’s eczema at bay. After she perfected her at-home formula, the line blossomed into a brand with a vast portfolio of handcrafted soaps, face oils and lip balms made with vegan products and essential oils that are good for the body and Earth. Get hands-on at the store with their DIY bath salt station or during candle-making workshops.

The Humble Hut

At The Humble Hut, sustainably minded creatives unite over organic matcha tea, French press coffee and croissants. Founding mother-daughter team Nathalie and Natacha Garbani opened the boho-inspired space in 2021. They sell environmentally friendly, ethically sourced items, like organic detergent, soy wax candles and zero-waste personal hygiene products. Artistic displays showcase local brands, such as Kris Organics skincare. A few doors down, Humble Hut’s movement studio hosts a regular rotation of classes geared toward tapping into one’s creativity and restoring the body with yoga, sound bowls and wellness workshops.

Remedies Parlor

Co-owner Tyna Singler describes Remedies Parlor’s goal simply: “Our shop is really for anyone looking to escape any stressors in their lives.” Since opening in 2016, the Fort Myers store—which blends a clean, modern aesthetic with an Old World-goth flair—has become a feel-good sanctuary with apothecary goods, plants, jewelry, furnishings and antiques. Most wellness products feature clean ingredients, including artisanal soy wax candles and incense made with palo santo, a sacred tree that is said to have medicinal and therapeutic healing powers. In its garden, Remedies Parlor serves non-alcoholic drinks infused with adaptogens and nootropics—supplements with calming or uplifting effects.

Naples Soap Company

A local chain with a national reach, Naples Soap Company was born in 2009 out of a 300-square-foot building in Tin City after former nurse Deanna Wallin developed a line of skincare to manage her and her daughter’s eczema and psoriasis. Now sold in stores nationwide, Naples Soap Company is a go-to source for people with chronic skin issues and those seeking toxic-free products. Their themed gift sets—such as the Florida Fresh Luxe Box with tropical-scented soaps, shampoo bars and lotions—are a favorite for birthdays and holidays. Deanna’s company now produces more than 300 bath, body and personal care products made in the United States from its 13 locations throughout the state.
